Gravamen Legal LLC was founded because attorneys spend too much time on work that shouldn't require an attorney — and not enough people are helping them get to what actually matters.
Civil litigation attorneys on both sides of the docket carry heavy deposition loads with lean support staff. Reviewing transcripts, identifying key admissions, flagging credibility issues, building event chronologies — this work is time-consuming, detail-critical, and necessary. But it takes attorneys away from the strategy and the courtroom, which is where their time actually belongs.
Gravamen Legal LLC exists to handle that work. Not with raw AI output handed to an attorney and called a deliverable. With reviewed, corrected, analytically annotated work product that a credentialed paralegal has examined, certified, and stood behind — on every single matter, without exception.

Todd brings 15 years of civil litigation experience to every matter Gravamen handles. He oversees all QC review, analytical overlay, and quality certification — his name and credentials appear on every deliverable Gravamen produces.
His background spans civil litigation on both the plaintiff and defense sides, with direct experience in deposition analysis, trial preparation, and litigation support across Northeast Ohio. He knows what attorneys need from a deposition summary because he has spent 15 years in the rooms where that work gets used.
How We Operate
No AI output leaves Gravamen without being reviewed against the source by a credentialed paralegal. Every correction is logged. Every deliverable is certified. That is not optional — it is the product.
Every engagement begins with a signed Scope Confirmation. Fees are flat-rate and confirmed before work starts. If materials exceed the estimated scope, we pause and ask before we proceed. You will never receive an invoice you didn't authorize.
Client materials are processed through CaseMark — a HIPAA-compliant, SOC 2 Type II certified platform. File transfer and storage operate through Microsoft 365 OneDrive under a Business Associate Agreement. A formal BAA with CaseMark is not currently in effect and will be executed upon transition to the CaseMark Polaris portal; clients are advised of this limitation prior to engagement. We do not cut corners on confidentiality or data security.

Gravamen Legal LLC is based in Painesville, Ohio. We serve civil litigation attorneys — plaintiff and defense — throughout Lake County, Greater Northeast Ohio, and nationally. Todd was born and raised in this region, practiced here for 15 years, and built Gravamen here deliberately.
We are not a national vendor operating out of a call center. When you submit a matter, you reach Todd directly. When you have a question about a deliverable, you reach Todd directly.
